  the gb raise questions then talk about it, unless it’s unanimous they wait, then years later talk again if it’s unanimous it then gets announced as new light.. 2. the gb are imperfect and sometimes make mistakes.

  so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.

  beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

  the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

  I count time on here. An acquaintance told me shaving makes you " look" like a JW. so does a car salesman outfit. More time. Is trimming my beard time?

  could a member please direct me to the current jw funeral talk or outline for a deceased jw.

  members of my wife's family will be attending such meeting for their deceased piece of shit father and i would like them to be prepared for what they can expect.

  5 to 10 minutes is a stretch. Read the obituary from the memorial leaflet, mispronounce a couple names, tell about Adam, Jesus sacrifice, the opportunity to study and get baptized so you can preach too. Then a prayer and recorded song (usually he will remember the work if his own hand). Then a reception (forbidden at the hall)somewhere else which is one of the few social events allowed.

  an elder with half a brain (and they must exist 🧐) is going to see the writing on the wall with the way the wt is manoeuvring them into taking the fall over csa cases.

  can an elder in good standing step down with no consequences, official or social?.

  I mix up the messages and prophecy but I thought one (of many) applications was the "hard" messages delivered post 1919. The other applications of things get confusing and mixed

  Does the ice melt and extinguish the fiery message? Or was it the bowls contained water?

  One thing sure: they are always right even when wrong. And the evil slave is just a story which cannot happen. Honest, just ask them.

  By standing away from the teaching, the GB are apostate! As for having association, I know at least one elder who regularly keeps in touch with a son who wrote " the letter"

  Interesting experience with my PIMI Father

  this highlights just how flawed the jw thinking is.

  recently, it had been arranged for another jw to take my father to the convention in a couple of weeks time.

  a few days ago my father is informed that his ride has refused to drive him due to his underlying health conditions.

  I personally know elderly who are told to attend right after surgery; pee bag, draining wounds and all. zoom is falling into disfavor. Last streaming video I saw had a built in delete feature so it quit working after 2 weeks.

  True. And a lot depends on the local body of elders and which 3 they choose. Mostly foregone conclusions and if there is a grudge or someone is out to get you.

  Very telling that they pull in their witnesses but give you no time or ability to defend yourself with your own rebuttal.
